but one hundred years later, we must face the tragic fact that the negro is still not free. one hundred years later, the life of the negro is still sadly crippled by the manacles of segregation and the chains of discrimination. one hundred years later, the negro lives on a lonely island of poverty in the midst of a vast ocean of material prosperity. one hundred years later, the negro is still languishing in the corners of american society and finds himself an exile in his own land. so we have come here today to dramatize an appalling condition.
in a sense we have come to our nation's capital to cash a check. when the architects of our republic wrote the magnificent words of the constitution and the declaration of independence, they were signing a promissory note to which every american was to fall heir. this note was a promise that all men would be guaranteed the inalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
it is obvious today that america has defaulted on this promissory note insofar as her citizens of color are concerned. instead of honoring this sacred obligation, america has given the negro people a bad check which has come back marked "insufficient funds." but we refuse to believe that the bank of justice is bankrupt. we refuse to believe that there are insufficient funds in the great vaults of opportunity of this nation.
so we have come to cash this check -- a check that will give us upon demand the riches of freedom and the security of justice.
we have also come to this hallowed spot to remind america of the fierce urgency of now. this is no time to engage in the luxury of cooling off or to take the tranquilizing drug of gradualism. now is the time to rise from the dark and desolate valley of segregation to the sunlit path of racial justice. now is the time to open the doors of opportunity to all of god's children. now is the time to lift our nation from the quicksands of racial injustice to the solid rock of brotherhood.
it would be fatal for the nation to overlook the urgency of the moment and to underestimate the determination of the negro. this sweltering summer of the negro's legitimate discontent will not pass until there is an invigorating autumn of freedom and equality. nineteen sixty-three is not an end, but a beginning.
those who hope that the negro needed to blow off steam and will now be content will have a rude awakening if the nation returns to business as usual. there will be neither rest nor tranquility in america until the negro is granted his citizenship rights. the whirlwinds of revolt will continue to shake the foundations of our nation until the bright day of justice emerges.
but there is something that i must say to my people who stand on the warm threshold which leads into the palace of justice. in the process of gaining our rightful place we must not be guilty of wrongful deeds. let us not seek to satisfy our thirst for freedom by drinking from the cup of bitterness and hatred.
we must forever conduct our struggle on the high plane of dignity and discipline. we must not allow our creative protest to degenerate into physical violence. again and again we must rise to the majestic heights of meeting physical force with soul force.
the marvelous new militancy which has engulfed the negro community must not lead us to distrust of all white people, for many of our white brothers, as evidenced by their presence here today, have come to realize that their destiny is tied up with our destiny and their freedom is inextricably bound to our freedom.
we cannot walk alone.and as we walk, we must make the pledge that we shall march ahead. we cannot turn back. there are those who are asking the devotees of civil rights, "when will you be satisfied?" we can never be satisfied as long as our bodies, heavy with the fatigue of travel, cannot gain lodging in the motels of the highways and the hotels of the cities. we cannot be satisfied as long as the negro's basic mobility is from a smaller ghetto to a larger one. we can never be satisfied as long as a negro in mississippi cannot vote and a negro in new york believes he has nothing for which to vote. no, no, we are not satisfied, and we will not be satisfied until justice rolls down like waters and righteousness like a mighty stream.

光陰荏苒，斗轉(zhuǎn)星移，回首著我們在護理崗位上度過的日日夜夜，所做的點點滴滴，這一刻，我們更加清晰地感覺到我們的理想插上了翅膀，青春煥發(fā)了活力，生活充滿了希望。

在腦血管內(nèi)科的一次夜晚，護士長突然召集我們加班，因為救護車馬上要送來了一個"腦出血"的患者。當(dāng)時入院時患者已經(jīng)神志不清，大小便失禁，ct示出血量已達50ml。我們立即配合醫(yī)生進行搶救。給予吸氧、建立靜脈通路、導(dǎo)尿，心電監(jiān)護，一切都在緊張而有條不紊地進行著……突然，就在要靜推呼吸興奮劑的那一刻，由于患者的雙手沒有意識能力，竟把靜脈輸液針給拔了出來。在那一刻，如果連靜脈給藥都不能保障，患者是很危險的。于是，我們又立即開始重新尋找靜脈?？墒钱?dāng)時患者未梢循環(huán)十分不好，加上家屬的不理解，和對患者病情急燥的焦慮給了我們很大的壓力。就在這樣的節(jié)骨眼上，可卻偏偏停了電，這樣的緊急情況，讓我們有些不知所措。大家都知道，在這個時候，是越著急越扎不上。拿好手電筒，我們在一邊靜心地安撫家屬，一邊在心里暗暗地告訴自己："不要急!不要急!……"
時間空間仿佛都凝滯在緊張地那一刻。
終于，在患者的腳趾上看到了一根淡淡的小靜脈。沿著那一線的生機，淺進針、慢送針，終于"回血了!"家屬和我們都松了一口氣。固定好針頭，我們暗暗地擦去了頭上已經(jīng)溢出了汗珠……

還未來得及解下童年的行裝，懵懵懂懂的我們就被時間的列車推向了青春的驛站。青春是什么?面對這個被無數(shù)詩人、名人、凡人詠嘆的美麗字眼，我無法給青春一個完美的詮釋，我只能說青春如畫、青春如詩。畫中的意蘊，詩中的內(nèi)涵有待慢慢的品嘗，細細玩味。
青春，我們多夢
曾經(jīng)何時，我向往著武俠片中武藝高強的大俠，連上課都會入神的想著，直到在老師虎視眈眈的眼神下方才可以回過神來;曾經(jīng)很不喜歡用鉛筆寫字，便在作業(yè)做完的夜晚中，用那被墨水沾滿的手指拿著那時相對我來說很重的鋼筆來寫字，直至各家各戶都滅了燈;青春的我們有了三毛、瓊瑤，也有了四大天王，青春的我們，每天都會有一個夢想;一個夢想幻滅，另一個夢又升起，走過花季的爛漫，走過雨季的浪漫;青春的美夢，這朵花開了一年又一年。
青春，我們?yōu)t灑
青春的我們，可以很悲觀，可以很樂觀，也可以很瀟灑。青春的我們，高興的時候，可以和好友在一起玩的沒心沒肺，也可以找一片草地，獨自一人躺在草地上，看那遙不可及卻又被我們癡心妄想的天空，青春的我們，傷心的時候，我們可以一個人默默地流淚，把所有的委屈都藏在自己的心里，誰都不告訴;也可以大聲地向好友訴說自己心中的不平，讓好友來替自己打抱不平，從好友那獲得一絲的安慰。
青春的我們，可以將那多余的淚水化作顆顆汗滴，灑在操場上，讓它們將頭發(fā)無所顧忌的貼在額上，也可以把它們化作縷縷智慧，灑在考場上，讓它們將考卷肆無忌憚的霸占。
青春，我們多愁善感
曾經(jīng)被我們淡忘了的秋天，不知在何時，被我們所賦予了生命。面對著秋天隨風(fēng)飄零的落葉，我們在突然間，仿佛體會到了古代詩人“悲秋”的情懷，走在路上，女孩子會輕輕撿起一片微微有點泛黃的落葉，夾在書頁之間，讓青與黃的脈絡(luò)帶走那個不安寧的心。
面對那多情而冰冷那個的秋雨，倔強的我們總是拒絕撐開那把孤獨的傘，寧愿讓自己的頭發(fā)，被秋雨打濕，濕漉漉的貼在額頭，凌亂秋的心境。
青春，我們更懂得了堅強
考場上我們的失意，并不代表我們的失志，從哪里跌倒從哪里爬起來，這是我們的格言，因為我們知道，這樣，才可以使我們未來的道路走的更遠、更穩(wěn);玫瑰般浪漫的知識相伴，一起走過的路固然令人回首顧盼，而分手后抬起頭，發(fā)現(xiàn)這就如枕木上的兩根鐵軌，它們曾經(jīng)相伴走過落英繽紛的溪畔，而最終卻不會相交;淬火的精鋼將會更加堅強，受挫的經(jīng)歷告訴我們該用更多的熱情和愛心去呵護培育那些美好而向往。
青春的感覺，青春的情懷千懷萬種，而青春的酸甜苦辣也只有青春的我們慢慢去破譯和享受了。
