（一）準備階段
準備階段的教學目標是讓學生在教師的指導(dǎo)下全面分析、掌握材料，形成寫作提綱。具體內(nèi)容包括：閱讀、分析有關(guān)材料；交流觀點；圈定要點；擬出寫作提綱。筆者在這一階段的教學中是采用下列方法體現(xiàn)學生主體作用，指導(dǎo)學生寫作訓(xùn)練的：首先，教給他們?nèi)绾螖U大詞匯量和英語慣用法；其次，教他們掌握英語基本句型，尤其是動詞句型；接著，教他們動筆前如何分析材料、審題；再次，教他們利用已知的知識背景，用不同的詞和結(jié)構(gòu)表達思想；然后，教他們?nèi)绾卧u品一篇作文和教他們閱讀時記筆記。上述每一件事都是由學生完成的，能極有效地提高學生的寫作能力。教師的指導(dǎo)作用表現(xiàn)在決定學生該干什么，指導(dǎo)學生如何干，糾正學生的錯誤。
（二）寫作階段
寫作階段的教學目標是要求學生在充分準備的基礎(chǔ)上進行文字寫作實踐。這一階段的具體內(nèi)容包括：擬草稿；自檢錯誤；推敲文字然后初步定稿。
